Perimeter lines give you something to hang onto for rescues in windy conditions, which can mean the difference between losing your kayak or not.

Based on our field testing results, we have recently changed our perimeter line recommendation from polyester to nylon. This 5mm accessory cord is a high quality cord made by a climbing rope manufacturer, with a breaking strength of 1300 pounds and a significantly thicker sheath than standard 5mm line, making it the best perimeter line we have seen yet.
