St Lawrence River Skiff Template Tracings

These are full-size tracings of the center frame, the intermediate frame, the end forms, and the stems of our new St. Lawrence River Skiff design, for use in conjunction with our Skin-on-Frame St. Lawrence River Skiff Building Course. Select the appropriate size frames for your build, for our Small, Medium or Large skiff.

Working from these templates will save you about two days of work and about $100 in plywood and layout tools that you would otherwise have to purchase. These forms are traced onto a continuous sheet of 2-foot wide coated butcher paper, so you can roll it out on your work bench and laminate directly on top of them, without having to transfer the lines to a different surface.

Tracings are shipped in a 3 inch diameter mailing tube. Consider purchasing sewing needles, upholstery thread, artificial sinew, #9 tarred seine twine and two packets of earth pigment at the same time; you'll eventually need those supplies for your build and we can fit them in the tube at no additional shipping cost!
