On full size single-blade canoes, we use these in conjunction with truss head bolts to hold the seat(s) in place. Their advantage over regular nuts is that the seat can be quickly removed for nesting or storage.
You will need 4 per seat, 5 if using the seat mounted tiller for our rudder system.
