Sea-Lect Tru-Course Rudder Kit with Mounting Bracket

This Sea-Lect rudder pairs well with the Sea-Lect Rudder Control Footbraces because when the rudder is pulled up, it locks the footbraces so they don't pivot, giving you solid foot purchase when the rudder is not in use. The Sea-Lect rudder isn't as stiff and smooth as a Smart Track rudder, but it does have an adjustable blade height and sits much lower to the deck when stowed than the Smart Track system, making it less prone to accidental damage.

Unlike other kits, we include the mounting bracket, lift line kit, and skin-on-frame specific mounting hardware. Our kits include a rear-mount bracket for builds where the rudder was planned into the initial kayak build, and there is a flat spot cut on the stern stem. For retrofits, you will want to add a V-mount bracket to your purchase.
