Sea-Lect Adjustable Foot Braces, modified for skin on frame kayaks

New for 2022 these foot braces aren't quite as easy to adjust as our previous models, but they are a lot stronger, more positive, more comfortable, and allow for a wide range of retrofittable options including rudder control and vertical height adjustment with an optional adjuster kit. We have made some component and hardware substitutions to make these compatible with skin on frame, and detailed installation instructions are included in our Kayak Building Course. These are our preferred foot braces for our modern kayaks.

Kit includes pair of footbraces with adjusting rods. Our custom hardware pack includes stainless steel hardware specific to installation in skin on frame boats, including the T-nuts you'll need to mount the footbraces into your gunwales.

If mounting to a drop kit to lower the height of the foot braces, you will want to add our Drop kit Mounting Hardware pack to your purchase.

Sea-Lect footbraces can be easily retrofitted for rudder control. We also sell this foot brace as a rudder control package.
