Kayak Building Supplies Kit: F2 Tandem Kayak

In this kit we've tried to take care of some of the common road blocks so you can relax and focus on the building. Having the coaming done from the beginning takes care of the hardest part of building a skin boat. We custom modify both the backband and footbraces without charging you extra and make key hardware substitutions. Having the toggles, straps, rub strips, and thigh braces on hand can be the difference between going paddling two days after you coat your kayak or waiting another two weeks! Ordering all these products from different suppliers individually, you'd not only have to buy more than you need, you'd have to pay for shipping again and again because almost nothing here is sold by the same supplier. Please note, this kit is for the F2 TANDEM kayak. There will not be enough of certain supplies to fully build and rig two solo kayaks.

Kit Options:

HDPE blanks vs. Pre-cut and rounded toggles and rub strips:
Our kits comes standard with toggle stock that are cut to length and chamfered on all 4 edges, leaving you to drill and round the ends, and rub strip blanks ready for rounding off and countersinking. Choose from ivory, white, or black HDPE. Or select Pre-drilled and Rounded toggles and rub strip for an extra $20, available in white HDPE only. Rub strip fasteners are included with both options.

• 2 ea Double-lipped steam bent white oak keyhole cockpit coamings
  
• 2 ea Rigid kayak back bands
  
• 2 ea Sea-Lect adjustable foot braces, modified for skin on frame
  
• 2 pair Foam thigh hooks
  
• 5 ea Leather deck straps
  
• 1 ea Flat artificial sinew, 4 oz roll
  
• 1 ea Tarred #9 seine twine, 4 oz roll
  
• 2 ea Aquaseal, 1/4 oz tubes

Coaming inside width is 16 1/2  inches. Order inside length based on pants inseam not actual inseam. Avoid the temptation to order a longer cockpit than you need, your knee bracing will suffer.
