SmartTrack Performance Toe Pilot Foot Brace with Cables

The SmartTrack Toe Pilot system features a stationary foot pad with pivoting toe pedals, providing the nicest control of any rudder system, however, the foot pad itself is not as as positive as a Sea-Lect pedal. In addition to these standard SmartTrack features, the aluminum track on this Performance model stiffens the footbrace, making it more positive than the standard version, although still not quite as stiff as a Sea-Lect footbrace.

This Performance model also allows the paddler to access the cable adjusters from the cockpit which is a HUGE advantage.

Note: these footbraces are 8oz heavier per pair than either of our other rudder control options. The foot pads are also much longer than Sea-Lect pedals, making it very difficult slide gear bags in and out of the bow of one of our kayaks. For this reason we typically don't use them in "camping" boats, but they do give lovely control in a racing kayak or dedicated day boat.

This kit comes pre-cabled. You will also need to purchase a Drop Kit to install it in one of our boats. All manufacturer hardware is included and will allow for drop kit mounting.

We also offer these as a footbrace only option for those who don't need rudder control.
